About Me

Hi, I’m Seunghyun Kim, a 3rd year CS PhD student at Georgia Institute of Technology. I am currently advised by Dr. Munmun De Choudhury. Before my years at Georgia Tech, I’ve earned my Bachelor of Arts, Master of Engineering, and Master of Science in Computer Science at Cornell University. Aside from conducting academic research, I love to dance, cook, and play video games!

Research Interest

My main research interest lies within the field of Social Computing; specifically, I am interested in studying how machine learning techniques could be utilized to build a thorough and robust system for detecting various online risks in social media. My recent research has been focused on looking at how the perspectives of different stakeholders involved in cyberbullying affects the cyberbullying detection models.
